Driving A Class A RV Down The Death Valley Highway

Posted by Handsome - February 8, 2015 - Uncategorized

It’s CA Highway 127 and named “Death Valley Highway”.

When I was a kid one of the TV shows we watched every week was “Death Valley Days” sponsored by Boraxo (Twenty Mule Team). The impression I had as a youth was that Death Valley was completely inhospitable. This drive revealed something different.

I wouldn’t want to be crossing it in the summer on foot or horseback but even then I’m sure it’s beauty would still be evident. See I had always pictured the guy parched, crawling and muttering “water”> My impression was nothing but sand, flat as a table for miles. In actuality it gently rolls and has many hills within the valley. They’re pretty much all rock but the color is varied and they are textured.

In short it was beautiful drive and we enjoyed it immensely.
